Castle

The Castle was the first rhino assignment, This is a great activity to start with since it allows free creativity. I came into this class with no knowledge of 3D modeling so this project was completed with simple steps. This project is designed to get you comfortable moving objects within the program. this activity starts with predetermined shapes that you must you to build your own castle. Instead of just copying and pasting the predetermined blocks to build a castle I decided to go my own way and alter the shape of the original blocks and then using them to construct my castle

This project was exciting because with my lack of knowledge this project sparks my imagination as to what I can build and the endless possibilities that this program offers.

I could have improved this project by going into more detail but with my lack of experience using this program at the time, there's not much to improve on unless I go back to redo the assignment.

If I were to do something different, in the future I would spend more time planning and designing the project. A layout allows for faster construction time. This project taught me the basics of rhino and the commands to move objects.

Shapeways Ring

The idea for this project started out with sketches of archways based on art deco style. once I had the basic sketch laid out I used it as a reference to recreate the same design in Rhino using arcs. Once the line work is completed and connected, the design is copy and pasted into a seamless flat design. In order to ensure the ring fits the design is scaled onto a line that is the same length as the circumference as the sized finger. Once as the design has been oriented around the correct size ring into a cylinder a few simple commands are used complete the ring. I used the pipe command to make consistent tubing to create the solid structure of the ring. The final command used was Boolean Union which took the individual pieces of pipe and joined all of them together with no overlapping solids. The Final product is amazing, I am pleased with quality and detail of the finished product. The satisfaction is immense considering I started with...

Reverse Engineered Project

This was the first project where I saw all the homework activities fall into play during this project. I started this prompt with detailed measurements of the phone case within .001 inches wherever possible noted on a sketch. Just like for the screwdriver and screwdriver assignment these measurements guidelines for all the lines in this project. Once the linework was down, I used loft/cap/ and extrude curve, were used to create the different colored surfaces which all together make the phone. I am most pleased that my this project turned out to be so realistic. At first, I doubted my abilities to recreate the phone case. With precise measurements and the time taking the task of laying out every line, the final product was worth it. I am most pleased that my this project turned out to be so realistic. Head 3D Scan

In order to get a 3D version of my head into R hino , I had to sit in a chair for 30 second white someone walked a perfect circle around me. Frankie, my Professor was holding a 3D scanner plugged into a laptop. Multiple scans were done were done with different angles in order to get all features of the face. Once I imported the file into rhino I have an editable mesh of my own head. .
