This project allowed for personal creativity within the specified guidelines. Once a control point curve is used to draw the basic outline of the screwdriver it is used to rotate and make the basic screwdriver shape. Once completed a flat wirecut is used to make the flat head of the screwdriver.
Lastly, the grip design was created after using a small pipe arrayed around the object which was then differenced from the screwdriver to leave an indentation. I used the same process to give a personalized name to the screwdriver.
Some changes I would do differently in the future would include more attention to detail. This includes filleting edges to make a more smooth seamless look as well as a more proportionate model.
One thing I could have improved on this project was the proportion of the screwdriver, even though I stayed within the guidelines my screwdriver is unproportionate. simple measurements and planning could have lead to a more precise screwdriver.
I am happy that this project showed how simple generating projects can be accomplished if you utilize rhinos different tools. Constructing this project before this exercise wouldn't have been an efficient use of time. This activity streamlined creation.
During this project, I learned how to different objects by using boolean. This is one of the most practical tools I have used throughout the class. This activity gave me the knowledge and ability to leave different designs in different objects otherwise not possible.
